Previous passing thoughts of a Pageminder
Barbara, Luanne, and Nora

I've spent the month working, reading, and getting some of the crud squared away around the house and grounds. Work is self-explanatory and so is the crud, but as for the reading, well, I have a few favorite authors that have kept me entertained to the wee hours of many a morning Barbara Delinsky
, Luanne Rice
, and Nora Roberts
Yes, they are all women, but then so am I
come to think of it, I don't remember the last book that I read that was written by a man. That's neither here nor there, because I read to be entertained and all three of these authors write books that quite frequently have me staying up very late to at least a good stopping point. I'm a sucker for a love story, and when you add some mystery and mayhem to it, well, the end is usually my stopping point of choice.
What snagged me on these authors was as different as their writing styles: with Barbara Delinsky
it was A Woman Betrayed
, with Luanne Rice
it was Dance With Me
, and with Nora Roberts
it was the In The Garden Trilogy
of Blue Dahlia
, Black Rose
, and Red Lily
. It really makes little difference which book hooked me, because I have yet to read one tome by any of these authors that didn't intrigue me enough to keep me up late
Meet me in St. Louis
06.01.07 - 6:23 am (CT)
I'm hitting the road in about an hour, heading south and then west for a long weekend respite with my sister, Deb (of HelpQuest.com
, and HelpQuestDomains.com
). We both need this road trip precisely because neither of us has any spare time to make it, which is as good a reason as any to take a few days to do something other than what we normally do. So, we'll be hanging out in the St. Louis area
doing nothing Web, tech, managerial, or educational
we'll be doing a whole lot of nothing of consequence to anyone but ourselves.
